I have an opportunity for you to join a small manufacturing site based locally to Kings Lynn which can give you the opportunity to work in multiple sites for this nationwide company. The site you would be based at may be small but the opportunity with this company is not ! You would work closely with a long standing team who several have been in post for over 40 years. This company recognises talented individuals whether you are up and coming in your career or have a wealth of experience which can change their processes.
The most exciting part of this role is that you will be valued and developed, if you work hard and are continually self-starting you will be encouraged to become more senior within the company and they have the scope for you to work with the current team or develop your own within a different area of the business.
You will be working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, working both days and nights and the environment is developing, the equipment is mainly older equipment with PLC controls having been added. This means you will be involved in major projects to improve this sites efficiency and working practices.
Some of your day to day responsibilities will include:
Ensure all production lines are efficient, safe and operational in order to reach production targets and deadlines.
Perform pre-planned maintenance as well as working faults including PLC's and electronics.
Actively seek out continuous improvement to optimise efficiency and cost saving.
Maintain and develop working relationships between colleagues throughout the site.
In order to work to these standards, the company will expect you to have the following skills and experiences:
Extensive experience working in Manufacturing environment within an engineering position.
City and Guilds (or equivalent) qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance (or similar)
Have a strong working knowledge of diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults in a manufacturing environment.
Confident using Microsoft Office software (Excel, Outlook & Word)
The company would also like to see City and Guilds 17th / 18th Edition and previous experiences working PLC systems. This opportunity will involve you working with the mechanical equipment also, so it is essential to have some experience when it comes to being hands on with the mechanical equipment in the factory.
