As an Engineering & Process Development Manager, you will provide evidence and justification for change and improvement within all aspects of the manufacturing of what our client does.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements and manage them as engineering projects through to completion.
Co-ordinate testing of new processes and equipment, evaluate test results, and approve or reject usage based on test results.
Manage all phases of cost reduction projects, including justification proposals, system, equipment and material requirements, implementation, and transfer of design.
Develop methods and programs to predict, track, and report production costs during product development.
Conduct root cause analysis of failure modes with suggestions on how to work-around and ultimately improve the design.
Initiate, develop and implement process improvements designed to increase product value, quality and team effectiveness.
Interface with operations, key suppliers and contract manufacturers on value engineering issues.
Participate in design reviews for new product.
Promote and demonstrate Best Practice and Modern Methods of Manufacturing.
Perform such other duties as reasonably correspond to the general character of the post and are commensurate with its level of responsibility.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office, CAD, software tools and test equipment.
The Hours of Work are 8.30am-5.30pm Monday to Thursday (one hour for lunch) and 8.30am-12.45pm on a Friday.
You will be expected to work overtime from time to time, in accordance with the needs of the business.
Holidays 22 days per annum (based on five-day working week), includes 3 days at Christmas (Compulsory), to be taken in conjunction with the Company's annual factory closedown periods.
