The Service Engineer apprentice will undertake the analysis of faults on Company systems and will rectify these faults in an efficient and effective manner.

Job Responsibilities:

* Fault analysis and rectification using best endeavours

* Generation and maintenance of service records according to company procedures to cover all service work carried out,

* Use of company ERP system to determine repair and maintenance costs and provision of information to allow service quotations to be raised,

* Provision of occasional telephone support to customer and operators to assist them in the analysis of apparent system defects,

* Liaison with customers to keep them informed of progress of returned equipment,

* Visits to customer and operator sites to carry out in the field analysis and repairs,

* Assist in the provision out of hours support to contract customers through participation in the evening & weekend call out duty rota.

The Service Engineer apprentice will also be required to carry out any other duties as may be reasonably requested by the company from time to time.

Key Skills and Competencies required:

* Experienced in the analysis and rectification of faults on complex electro-mechanical systems.

* Full driving licence.

* Ability to work and set priorities in a high pressure, high visibility customer facing department.

* Have served a recognised apprenticeship and/or completed a formal collage qualification such as City and Guilds in Electronics

* Generation of quotations for service repair work.

* Experience of delivery of technical training courses to external parties.

* Experience of demonstration of airborne equipment.

* Experience of dealing with external parties.

* Manual Handling training

* Nitrogen Training
