The Role - Scientific Field Service Engineer (GC / GC-MS)
Following expansion they seek to recruit a customer focused Field Service Engineer responsible for the service, installation, repair and general maintenance of their range of highly advanced GC / GC-MS systems at customer sites. You will be joining a professional and knowledgable team offering first class customer support, performing installations of new instrumentation and carrying out customer training. Along with preventative maintenance visits, you will also be responsible for breakdown repairs and troubleshooting, working to maintain the company's reputation for excellent and efficient customer service. You will carry out validation and IQOQ / PQ testing of instrumentation. Although the role is initially for GC / GC-MS, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will expand their knowledge to take on HPLC products in the future.
Your Background - Scientific Field Service Engineer (GC / GC-MS)
To be considered for this post you should have previous experience either as a Field Service Engineer, Applications Engineer or Technical Support Engineer working on a range of laboratory and life sciences equipment – HPLC, LC, LCMS, GC, GC-MS or Mass Spec – or as a laboratory technician or scientist with extensive experience of using HPLC, LC, GC, HPLC, GC-MS or Mass Spec systems. Ideally you will be educated with an HNC, HND or BSc in a life science discipline and have a full UK driving license and a minimum of 3 years experience with life sciences instrumentation. Of equal importance is your ability to communicate effectively at all levels with external customers and internal departments.
