The main day-to-day tasks vary in range, mainly involving the liaising with customers and suppliers over issues including, new part introduction, design change management and supporting Nonconformance management.

The role involves a high degree of customer and supplier liaison, as well as including the recording, management and reporting of quality assurance data; thereby requiring a high degree of communication, coordination and excellent customer service skills. The role may include a requirement for some national and international travel.

Outline and Responsibilities:

·Management of new part introduction process through NTE and customer systems.

·Management of design change process through NTE and customer systems.

·Management of customer requests for miscellaneous data – i.e. LTSD , conflict materials

·Management of IMDS / REACh data

·Support management of non – conforming product from containment action through to NCR report management and OK part introduction.

·Support management of customer warranty process.

·Development of suppliersincludingconducting supplier audits

·Assisting in maintenance of NTE ISO 9001 system.

Experience and attributes:

·Min 2 years’ experience inhigh volume manufacturing in QA role

·Experience in new part introduction and design change using ANPQP / APQP process

·Experience in formal NCR report methodologies i.e. 8D

·Experience of working to ISO 9001 and /or TS 16949

·Understanding of part warranty process

·Experience in supplier development

·Experience in auditing

·Good problem solving skills and an ability to prioritise tasks

·Ability to work with limited supervision and using own initiative to complete tasks

·Good communication and interpersonal skills, dealing with people from different functional areas and cultures

·Flexible and adaptable, able to work to tight deadlines

Qualifications

Minimum HNC / NVQ 4 in engineering discipline

Quality Assurance qualification

Internal Quality Assurance auditing qualification
