About the job
In this key role you will deliver, with the support of the Framework Delivery team, a wide range of projects. You will report into the Frameworks Manager and work closely with the operations & design teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required high standard. You will ensure all systems are adhered to and be responsible for the day-to-day engagement and planning of the tradesmen and/or subcontractors on the schemes you are responsible for. The role requires flexibility; the successful candidate will be expected to take responsibility for the financial and time performance of schemes as well as ensuring efficient utilisation of the resource available. This role will involve controlling, planning and delivering work within the IWS Central/Midlands region however you may be expected to deliver outside of this area of operation as and when required .
The successful candidate will be responsible effective management of health & safety, optimisation of productivity, profitability and forecasting of contracts, quality control of service delivery and liaison with clients and suppliers. The successful applicant should be IT literate in MS packages including use and understanding of MS Project, use bespoke computer databases, be well organised and have a high level of customer care skills. There may be an element of working away required.
About the successful applicant
Qualified to at least ONC level in a Mechanical or Electrical engineering discipline and able to display an awareness and working knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations and working to, and compiling NEC contracts with a sound understanding of change control. A working knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering is essential. Previous experience working within the water industry would be beneficial. You will be a ‘can do’ person, who is flexible in approach with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You should also be able to demonstrate an awareness of innovations in material and building technology. Great communication and customer care skills are considered essential and the successful candidate will require a full driving licence. Experience in managing a fast moving, operational delivery environment, where excellence in service is matched by a world class Health & Safety record would be advantageous. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office programmes is also an essential requirement
