Desktop Support Engineer

Salary: £32,000-£36,500 (5% annual bonus available)

My tier 1 banking client are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to join their already existing team within the patch management area. This area of the bank is responsible for patches to their Windows 7 devices, also Windows 10 with an ongoing migration to that system. All patches must be performed to the standards and regulations that are in place.
The successful person for this role will have a good understanding and working knowledge of the Windows 7 system and an understanding of Windows 10 would also be beneficial. The key technical aspect of this role would be using Windows SCCM, so working with this system in a previous project will be of benefit. You will also need experience in patch management as this will be an element of the role, given the area of the business that it will be working within.
* Activities including manage client hardware, client health monitoring and management (telemetry information), manage core software release, security patching, support break fix activities, manage group policy pertaining to client devices
* Client estate is approx. 100k - including W7, W10, VDI, IOS
* Strong knowledge of client OS
* Experience using enterprise tooling - SCCM, Intune
