Job Summary

In this role, the Quality Engineer creates and executes high quality test cases; carrying out testing ensuring deliverables are released to specification and the highest quality.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

The Job Description indicates only the main duties and responsibilities of the post. It is not intended as an exhaustive list;

* Work with analysts to understand business, customer and project requirements and identify optimum test strategy, approach, plans and scripts.

* Work both independently and in cooperation with your team to build upon and maintain a robust and efficient automated test suite.

* Ensure that defects are reported, escalated and resolved appropriately.

* Provide test insight and advice during the Leighton Delivery Model ensuring impact on test is assessed, communicated and understood with relevant teams.

* Support the delivery of high quality releases on time.

* Manage peer reviews, process reviews and identify improvements.

* Support bugs raised by internal teams and carry out an investigative approach to resolving these

Person Specification

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

* Proven experience in software testing

* A deep understanding of QA

* Proven experience and understanding of the methods and uses of testing

* Experience of working in an agile, fast paced environment

* Ability to be proactive and overcome blocks

* Critical thinker and problem solving skills

* Great interpersonal and communication skills
