How you'll make a difference as Head of Finance:
In this fundamental post, you are going to be given extraordinary responsibility within Action for Children.
We need your clear leadership and expert insight to guide our management accounting functions, to utilise financial and business partnering expertise to provide advice and coaching to regional Finance Managers where you will play a key role in ensuring appropriate standards and practices for financial management are adopted across the organisation.
You will develop and apply organisation wide standards for transactional processes, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Credit control.
Besides the heavy financial element to this post, it is imperative that you are able to positively empower your team and their wider functions in Watford and London.
What you'll need:
CCAB qualification or equivalent
Significant senior post qualification experience
Significant experience of managing large processing departments and delivering consistent improvements in efficiency, effectiveness and customer-focus
Proven experience of presenting financial accounts, reports and data
Experience of managing change and delivering consistent improvements in efficiency, effectiveness and customer-focus
Proven track record of coaching, mentoring to and problem solving to achieve required financial outcomes
Experience of motivating, managing and developing staff to better meet the needs of the organisation
The ability to understand issues, break them down into their constituent parts, and to identify root causes and lead Team Based Problem solving sessions to identify and implement appropriate solutionsThe benefits and rewards:
