SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF THE CNC MILLER
Working on horizontal machine centres. The skill requirement is machine loading of components to fixtures, setting of tools and loading into machines. Will use CMM machines to inspect parts and running operations. The machine programme is Fanuc.
The CNC Milling role has a skill level requirement of:
The same as above, but jobs are more involved clocking and setting datums. Parts are more complex and require more manual input into running the part. The machine programmes used are, Fanuc, Mazatrol and Heidenhain.
Responsibilities will include for the CNC MILLER
The job involves the setting and operating of CNC mills producing high value components across various industries.
Responsibilities will include:
* Setting and operating of CNC milling 3, 4 & 5 axis machines
* Knowledge of either Hedenhain or Mazatrol controls as well as Fanuc
* The ability to carefully follow procedure in terms of process through set-up sheets etc.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings with a high level understanding of geometric dimensions & tolerances
* Ensuring that quality and safety standards are adhered to at all times
* The necessary skill set to work within a team environment or individually
* Knowledge of modern tooling and machining techniques
Above all, there must be sufficient expertise and confidence clearly demonstrated by experience and/or qualification, to work effectively and efficiently, on components of high intrinsic value. Without putting product at risk through inattention to detail or inferior workmanship.
Knowledge of how to machine, handle and protect all types of manufactured components is essential.
All work must be carried out in accordance with job card instructions and attendant stage drawings, customer specifications etc., and generally in accordance with the company’s quality system. All work must be carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with the relevant safe systems of work and generally in accordance with the company’s safety policies.

Essential o A minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a high precision manufacturing environment o Wide ranging manufacturing process knowledge, across differing materials in varying applications
Working Hours: 39 hours per week, (7.00am to 3.30pm Monday to Thursday, 7.00am to 2.30pm Friday with half an hour for lunch)
Hourly Rate of Pay: Competitive market rates worked out after interview based on the individual’s skill rate
