Are you a native iOS developer who can write code in Swift? Are your familiar with connecting RESTful API’s to back-end services as well as having a good sense of user interface design?
This iOS Developer job is based in Belfast and comes with a salary of circa £30k - £40k (depending on experience) and includes pension, flexible hours, discounted gym membership, trips abroad for top performers, childcare vouchers, mobile phone discount and more.
Who is the company?
My client is a local leader in Mobile Workflow Management solutions and they are owned by a leading telecommunications provider. They are a multi-award-winning company that has been operating out of Northern Ireland for twenty years.
They have an in-house software development team that has created a mobile solution for reporting, invoicing and tracking for employees on the move. It is available in both iOS and Android versions and it instantly synchronises the paperwork of office and field-based teams; this transforms the time required if you are out of the office.
What does this job involve?
We are seeking an iOS Developer with a strong background in Swift for the ongoing development and maintenance for the iOS version of the app. You will focus on its integration with back-end services while working with other developers and engineers on different layers of the infrastructure. The successful iOS developer will be a natural problem solver, who can create sophisticated design and top-quality end-products.
Each client comes with different requirements, so the successful iOS developer will be responsible for designing, building and testing different software components according to each client’s product specifications and requirements.
What skills are essential?
You need to have at least 2-years commercial experience or a strong portfolio of native iOS applications that you have built. You need to be proficient in Swift and its ecosystems. A solid understanding of object-oriented programming along with memory management and multi-threading is needed. Experience with Core Data is needed, particularly working with multiple contexts. You need to be able to connect RESTful API’s to back-end services as well as have a good sense of UI design and a user-oriented focus. Since this is an iOS-focused job, you will need an understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines.
