Location: Dublin or Cork.

Are you an experienced Civil and Structural Engineer looking for your next challenge in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment? We have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Civil and Structural Engineer to join a prestigious engineering group specializing in diverse projects.

Position Description:
The successful candidate will work as part of a talented multidisciplinary team focusing on a variety of developments aimed at advancing sustainability goals and embracing innovative engineering solutions. You will contribute to projects that align with a vision for a brighter future and achieving net-zero emissions by 2040.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion safety management practices and uphold a visible commitment to safety protocols.
  • Ensure the implementation of quality procedures across all project phases.
  • Provide expert civil and structural engineering guidance from project inception through detailed design and construction stages.
  • Lead and coordinate activities of civil and structural engineering teams to deliver projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Conduct site inspections and offer relevant advice as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: Essential

  • Demonstrated expertise in delivering civil and structural engineering projects.
  • Strong commercial acumen and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in assessing, communicating, and mitigating technical risks.
  • Excellent communication and report writing abilities.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.

Desirable

  • Proven track record in managing significant multidisciplinary projects.
  • Experience in large-scale demolition projects, including engineering assessments and contract management.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Capacity to identify project requirements and initiate necessary actions with minimal oversight.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate within project teams.
  • Experience in performing PSDP or Principal Designer (PD) roles.

Qualifications: Essential

  • Bachelor's degree (Level 8) in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Full driving license and access to a car.

Desirable

  • Master's degree (Level 9) in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Chartered status in a recognized professional engineering institution.

Location: The position will be based in either Dublin or Cork offices, with travel to project sites as necessary.

Smart Working Commitment:
We are committed to smart working, allowing flexibility within your jurisdiction. Successful candidates will collaborate in person at the workplace for at least one anchor day per week, subject to ongoing review and manager approval based on operational needs.
This role reports to a Senior Leader within the Civil, Environmental & Renewables Engineering Department.
