We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to help us on this journey.

You will:

  • Provide software coding and development including, but not limited to screen tailoring, workflow administration, report setup, data imports, integration, Scripting, third party software integrations
  • Deliver high-quality solutions that are fit for purpose through analysis and challengingunnecessary customisation, focusing on a development and deployment approach that delivers value to the business whilst retaining flexibility to support changing business needs
  • Demonstrable expert knowledge and skills to create capabilities to drive Self-service and automation. (Service Portal, Orchestration, Integration Hub)
  • Successfully plan, execute, monitor, control, and close all technical tasks related to configuration and implementation of all aspects of the platforms
  • Evaluate emerging ServiceNow technologies and the evolution of current functionality to define roadmaps to meet business needs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve defects following agreed procedures and ServiceNow® good practice principles
  • Create and update documentation relating to incidents, changes and designs as required
  • Work closely with the project team including Product Manager, Project Manager, Architects, developers and BA's
  • Lead a small team of ServiceNow developers and supporting SME's in development and support activity.

Experience

  • Experience as the senior technical resource for the development of the ServiceNow platform around any of the following areas CSM (Customer Service Management), ITSM (IT Service Management), ITOM (IT Operations Management), ITAM (IT Asset Management), Integrations WSD (Workplace Service Delivery), HRSD (Human Resource Service Delivery)
  • Working knowledge of the design/development of APIs and web service integrations with ServiceNow
  • Hands on knowledge and skills of creating capabilities for Self-service and automation. (Service Portal, Orchestration)
  • Excellent technical knowledge of ServiceNow® integration using web services and other web-based technologies
  • Experience in coding and Scripting
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, communication, and presentation skills
  • Experienced in the use of ITIL processes and best practice approaches
  • Delivery experience including coding, testing aligned to best practice

Qualifications:

  • Educated to A-level standard or equivalent.
  • Proven hands-on experience as a Senior ServiceNow developer.
  • Experience in Agile software delivery methodology
  • Ability to understand as-is and to-be processes to deliver toolset changes
  • Be a contributor to the end-to-end development activities of project enhancements, changes and upgrades

Core Competencies
Preferred

  • Good experience with ITILv3 or 4
  • Experience of Cloud services including SaaS, IaaS and PaaS
  • Cloud provider experience eg AWS, Azure, Google, ServiceNow
  • Experience in the developing and design of technical solutions and integrations
  • Delivery methodology experience: Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, Wagile
  • Strong team player
  • Effective task management skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work alone or in teams
