The mission:

  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a team of locksmiths, fostering their professional growth and skill development.
  • Technical Expertise: Act as the primary technical resource for internal teams (specialists, project managers) and on occasion, customers, addressing technical inquiries and providing solutions.
  • Process Improvement: Drive implementation of improvement initiatives with your team, ensuring efficient execution and positive impact.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage the department's budget, allocating resources for personnel, facilities, tools, and other operational needs.
  • Workforce Planning: Plan and deploy personnel effectively through both long-term and detailed scheduling strategies.
  • Production Management: Oversee order and production planning, optimizing workflows and streamlining processes.
  • Welding Supervision & Quality: Supervise welding activities, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulations.
  • Cost Estimation & Analysis: Perform cost calculations for ship hulls, metal and steel structures, including preliminary, offer, and final estimates.
  • Expansion Project Participation: Actively contribute to the implementation of production expansion projects, providing expertise and support.
  • Site Monitoring: Support and monitor internal and external construction sites, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to safety protocols.

Your profile:

  • Technical Background: Basic technical training in metalworking, plant construction, shipbuilding or similar field.
  • Management experience: Further training and experience in workshop management, master metalworking, master shipbuilding, or equivalent supervisory roles.
  • Welding Expertise: Additional training and certification as a welding specialist (IWS).
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership experience with several years of success leading teams.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in spoken and written German. Proficient English is preferred, other languages a bonus.
  • Personal Qualities: Highly motivated, team-oriented, resilient, and loyal.
  • Adaptability: Open to innovation, flexible in changing environments, and maintains a positive and collaborative attitude.
