Full-time assignment
Location: part time remote work in any case, on the other hand employment in one of the office of your choice (preferably Hasselt, Antwerp, Ghent or Leuven)

Position: Systems Engineer (AIX Focus)

Language Proficiency: Proficiency in Dutch and English is required. Knowledge of French is considered advantageous.

Project Focus: Primarily involved in system engineering tasks within large IT environments where AIX is utilized.

Team Environment: You'll join a team of 25 colleagues primarily focused on Power technology across various environments, including Cloud, on-premise, and remote managed services. Involvement in on-call services, with a rotation period typically ranging from 6 months to a year, and occasional weekend work may be required.

Key Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Strong AIX Proficiency:

    • Comprehensive understanding of AIX on Power systems, encompassing storage, virtualization (VIOS, DLPAR, LPM), SAN Switches, and (v)HMC networks.
  • AIX Operating System Management:

    • Extensive expertise in AIX OS management, covering upgrades, updates, NIM server, vulnerability management, system and network security, performance optimization, problem-solving, backup and restore operations, replication/disaster recovery, HACMP/Power HA configuration, daily system management, and Shell Scripting.
  • Additional Skills (Desirable):

    • Familiarity with supplementary techniques such as Flashcopy Toolkit, Cloud backup solutions, Red Hat Openshift, LPAR2RRD/STOR2RRD, Datadomain, Commvault, Hyperswap, Linux administration, Live Partition Mobility, Safeguarded Copy configurations, antivirus/antiransomware measures, and Perl Scripting.

Note: Knowledge of the aforementioned supplementary techniques is beneficial but not mandatory.
