We are looking for a Business Analyst -Financial processes (m/f/d)

Start: End February/March 2024
duration: 6 months
Location: Berlin/Remote
Volume: Fulltime
Language: English and German

Background: Our energy client is planning a new SAP group wide ERP solution to support it's Back Office functions. It will be multi-year project starting in Q2 2024 and will replace all current SAP systems across UK and Germany. The Back Office functional teams consist of Finance & Controlling, Tax, Treasury, Logistics, HR and Procurement; the functional teams' key role is to provide support to our core businesses. The consultant is required to consult the Back Office Functional teams in relation to the ERP Programme. The BA will work closely in supporting the Functions, internal IT and external implementation partner on business requirement analysis, to-be process design, data design, testing, change management, cutover, and support activities.

Tasks (independent delivery):
* Work closely with the SAP Capability team (based in UK and GER)
* Work with Finance & Treasury, Logistics, Tax, Treasury and other business stakeholders, architecture, development teams and BA colleagues to assess, shape and document;
o "to-be" business processes (using flow-chart diagrams)
o data requirements & analysis
o reporting requirements
* Consult with key business stakeholders to understand processes, develop the business case, document requirements, develop functional specifications and acceptance criteria
* Work closely with the finance and management reporting teams to derive a common data model and reporting structures to enable group wide reporting
* Work closely with testing resources (unit and QA testing) and the business (UAT) to ensure solutions meet expectations and have only a positive impact at implementation
* Work with QA lead to sign off on change in the development landscape
* Jointly develop business readiness plans prior to implementation
* Coordinate & assist with train-the-trainer user training preparation and ensure user guides are written and updated
* Initiate post-implementation reviews to monitor product effectiveness and performance

Skills
* Qualified Accountant or equivalent experience
* At least 10 years' experience as a business analyst/functional consultant
* Minimum of 3 full life cycle implementations as analyst/functional consultant
* Experience of documenting as-is and to-be business processes
* Strong facilitation and influencing skills including leading workshops
* Autonomous work style
* Able to understand business issues and specify IT solutions
* Team-player
* Excellent communication skills eg written, verbal and presentation
* Degree (or equivalent ideally in an accounting or financial management related subject)
* Professional certifications in desired skill areas an advantage (eg SAP certifications)
* N2H: Experience in oil and gas/energy industry
* Experience working in international team setting
* N2H: experience implementing global processes and solutions
* Methodology: Waterfall and Agile

In Addition:
* Strong business process knowledge of the following processes:
o Record to report/FI Invoicing to Cash/Treasury
o Reporting & Analytics
* Working business process knowledge of the following processes
o Logistics & Asset Management
o P2P
o HR
* Good Functional knowledge of SAP is preferable
* Strong understanding of data objects, master data, Datamodelling & reporting
