Graphics Programmer - C++ - HLSL/GLSL - Graphics APIs - OpenGL - Vulkan - Metal - GPU Architecture

My client who are leaders in their field are looking for a Graphics Programmer who will invent, implement, and deploy state of the art robust graphics algorithms and systems targeted to enhancing existing Game Graphics solutions.

You will be working on projects that builds on cross-domain topics: AI, Computer Vision and Graphics. You will build prototypes and explore conceptually new solutions. You will interact closely with both AI and Computer Graphics teams. A successful candidate should have hands-on experience in Computer Graphics. The right candidate will contribute to the graphics pipeline, GPU architecture and graphics techniques. You will be developing high-quality performant game graphic systems targeted for mobile devices.

Key Responsibilities:

1, Design the Graphics algorithms for both mobile phone and PC for range of games including AAA games.

2, Write/modify GPU shaders and run them on either PC or mobile phone.

3, Design, integrate and develop graphics algorithms in various renderers mainly Unreal Engine 5.

4, Modify and run graphics shaders in APKs on various mobile devices.

5, Profile and optimize GPU code (Vulkan).

Key Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Graphics Programmer role or similar.
  • Have strong programming skills and be proficient in C/C++.
  • Extensive experience of HLSL/GLSL shader programming languages.
  • Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with modern graphics APIs (eg DirectX, OpenGL, Vulkan).
  • Highly recommended to have advanced experience of game engines (eg Unity, Unreal, etc.)
  • Highly recommended to have advanced experience of graphics libraries (eg OpenGL, Vulkan, Metal, etc.)
  • Highly recommended to have advanced experience in developing game computer graphics for mobile phones.
  • Extensive experience in GPU debugging and graphics bug fixing.
  • Experience in GPU profiling and optimisation and Knowledge of profiling tools (eg PIX, VTune, Render Doc etc).
  • Extensive experience in Lighting shaders, Raytracing and Global Illumination.
  • Extensive experience of rendering hardware and implementing some modern rendering techniques eg screen-space post-processing effects, ambient occlusion, shadows, reflections, modern specular lighting reflectance models.
  • Participated in the full development cycle of mobile phones and PC games starting from basic prototypes through to release.
  • Bachelor's/MSc/Phd degree in in relevant disciplines such as Mathematics, Computer Science, or Computer Graphics, etc.

The role is based in Cambridge or London and operating in a hybrid working model.
