Environment Analyst

Position Overview:

As a Technical Environment Analyst with expertise in pre-production environments, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency, stability, and optimization of our systems before they reach production. Collaborating closely with development, testing, and operations teams, your focus will be on creating and managing environments that facilitate rigorous testing and validation processes. Responsibilities:

Pre-Production Environment Setup:

Design, configure, and maintain pre-production environments that closely mirror production setups.

Collaborate with development teams to understand application requirements and ensure the alignment of pre-production environments with production configurations.

Environment Monitoring:

Implement and maintain monitoring tools to assess the health and performance of pre-production environments.

Proactively identify potential issues and bottlenecks to optimize system performance.

Release and Deployment Support:

Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support the release and deployment processes in pre-production environments.

Ensure that software releases are thoroughly tested in pre-production environments before moving to production.

Configuration Management:

Manage configuration settings for applications in pre-production environments, ensuring consistency with production configurations.

Work closely with development and testing teams to track changes and maintain version control.

Collaboration with Testing Teams:

Work closely with testing teams to understand testing requirements and provide technical support for testing processes.

Facilitate the integration of automated testing tools with pre-production environments.

Troubleshooting and Support:

Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for issues arising in pre-production environments.

Collaborate with development and testing teams to diagnose and resolve problems in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Proven experience as a Technical Environment Analyst, with a focus on pre-production environments.

Strong understanding of software development life cycle and pre-production processes.

Proficiency in configuration management tools and deployment automation.

Experience with monitoring tools and techniques for assessing system health.

Knowledge of testing methodologies and tools.

Scripting skills (eg, Bash, Python) for automation tasks.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
