Maintenance Engineer - 3 Shifts

The successful Maintenance Engineers will be responsible for the following:
Carrying out electrical and mechanical repairs and planned preventative maintenance
There will be occasions that will require more complex and detailed project work, which may include machine rebuilds/refurbishments
Undertake the training of apprentices, machine operators and craftspeople
Responsibilities will include responding to breakdown rapidly and efficiently to minimise downtime and improve the longevity of the machinery
Use appropriate root cause analysis tools
Actively look for continuous improvements methods that could be implemented and achieve cost savings
The ideal Maintenance Engineers will have:
Minimum of 5 years' experience
Have practical experience of CNC/PLC fault finding and repairing
Have the ability to read pneumatic, electrical and hydraulic engineering drawings
Formal qualifications such as: apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, ONC, HNC
Worked within the machine tool, assembly or test environment
Fully conversant with high accuracy automated grinding, turning, milling CNC machines
Able to use Siemens S7, Fanuc or Allen Bradley PLC and CNC control
The rota for this will be: 2 weeks 10pm-6am, 2 weeks 2pm-10pm and 2 weeks 6am-2pm. There will be the requirement for you to work a minimum of 8 Saturday's per year, which will be paid at an enhanced rate. In return our client is offering a basic salary of up to £45k along with paid overtime.
