The successful candidate will be responsible for running the ongoing regulatory change programme, incorporating ongoing enhancements to the Axiom reporting environment and implementation of industry-wide regulatory rule changes to ensure compliance with all applicable capital adequacy and liquidity reporting requirements.

Regulatory Reporting Projects - COREP/CRD4 will be responsible for running the ongoing regulatory change programme, incorporating ongoing enhancements to the Axiom reporting environment and implementation of industry-wide regulatory rule changes to ensure compliance with all applicable capital adequacy and liquidity reporting requirements. This will involve the identification and prioritisation of issues, development and documentation of solutions, and functional and regression testing. The role will also involve hands-on involvement in a reconciliations project ensuring alignment between Regulatory and Financial Reporting systems.
The individual would work closely with the Regulatory Controllers team, Finance Control team and associated Technology teams to analyse and implement business solutions. The role may additionally be involved with new business initiatives driven by the business over this period.
The key responsibilities are:
Business Analysis to develop functional specifications from business requirements to comply with key regulatory initiatives (Regulatory Capital/Risk calculations).
Designing User Acceptance Test plans and co-ordinating functional and user acceptance testing with the Regulatory Controllers and IT.
Analysis of existing business processes and implementing new designs / liaising with source system data owners, assisting with the development of manual processes with appropriate controls to meet short term business requirements
Project planning and chairing the Regulatory Reporting Working Group.

The following skills and experience are required for this role:
Educated to degree level with prior experience in a financial services/banking environment.
Good communication skills and team player.
Analytical and numerate with strong technical skills.
Excellent written and presentation skills.
Comfortable working in a dynamic, changing and evolving environment.
Ability to work independently and assume responsibility for project deliverables.
Strong business analysis / data mapping
Understanding of the FCA Regulatory Capital / Prudential Management framework (market risk, credit / counterparty risk capital calculations, large exposures).
Understanding of the regulatory reporting process.
High level product understanding across fixed income & equities.
Previous experience of Axiom and Peoplesoft an advantage.
Accounting qualification would be an asset to the role.
