Key Account Manager - IT Software/Hardware Sales

Manchester

Salary up to £27,000 + Commission Double OTE + £6,600 car allowance

Our client is one of the biggest resllers of IT Software and Hardware in the UK at the moment and they're looking to grow their thriving commercial sales team. Their sales commercial, corporate and public sector sales teams sell into both the private and the public sector where they sell their whole portfolio of digital transformation, managed print and document scanning. They have a team of experienced salespeople who have aided the company to continue to grow and they are now looking to hire talented Account Managers to join their team.

Requirements of the role:

Essential:

*Must have at least 2-3 years B2B solutions sales

*A Key Account Manager with a consultative approach who fully understands the needs of the customer and consultatively produces the right solution

*Experience selling solution or service, preferably in the IT/Technology arena

*Very new business focused with high levels of intelligence and ambition

*Desire to get the job done, overcome obstacles with a 'can do attitude'

*Proven sales track record in a competitive environment, selling high value solution

*Direct experience of telephone canvassing for new business appointments

*The ability to work under your own initiative is vital

Desirable:

*Experience selling a solution or service into the commercial and SMEs

*Preferably a marketing/business studies/international business degree

*Minimum 2 year Managed Print Solutions sales experience

*Broad understanding of IT, document solutions business mechanics and systems

*Experience of selling leasing

*Good all round education, literate & numerate to a high standard

*Highly persuasive and able to influence people

*Must be IT literate, proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

*They will be required to gain and attain a detailed working knowledge of current and future document solutions products and services

*Suitable people will possess a good sense of humour with an ability to work under pressure and achieve stretching sales targets

What will you be doing?

*Managing an existing accounts - assisting to their needs and cross selling to them

*Conducting new business approaches and following up on leads

*Lead generation through various different channels (leads may be provided and marketing activity conducted on your behalf, achievement of target within your given area will be entirely your responsibility)

*The Account Manager must be able to keep up a sales activity plan to assist in the successful achievement of targets and accurate sales forecasting

*Minimum levels of activity are expected in terms of weekly telephone calls, appointments, proactive marketing to attain monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets and to maintain consistency of performance

*The role includes significant contact with prospects and customers on the telephone and visiting them in their offices
