Leading European compressor manufacturer requires a Sales & Service Engineer to manage their clients in the South East.
Company established for 100 years
Been in the UK for 20 years
UK T/O £7.5million. 25 Employees
Globally T/O 130million Euros. 600 Employees
Potential to step into a more senior position in 5 years.
Managing the sales function in the UK.
Managing 6 external staff and 2 sales support personnel who operate from the head office.
Responsible for a £10.5m turnover target. - £6.5m in new compressor sales, £2m in parts, £2m in service contract sales.
85% of business comes from above Birmingham.
Typically you would spend 1 day p/week at head office, or 6 x per month.
75% of sales go through distribution,
The Ideal Person:
Mix of sales and service.
Service lead, with a responsibility to generate sales when service work is slow. (Leads will be generated for you.)
Service and maintenance of compressors.
With the introduction of a new Operations Manager 90% of your work will be planned with only 10% reactive.
You will be responsible for the South East (30 mins from M25).
They have one very large account in Chatham, Kent.
There will be very little need for nights away from home.
Typical customers are from process industries with the majority specifically from the food & beverage sector.
This is a multi-skilled position.
Service side is relatively easily 60%
Breakdowns and fault finding is the tricky bit 40%
The role will also carry a sales target.
