Insure Recruitment are delighted to be working with this well respected insurance Scheme broker based in North Surrey.

They have invited us to source applicants for a Commercial Account Handler role they have currently within their Group Scheme unit,

The Scheme which is designed to meet the specific insurance needs of Groups and Sports safe activities has developed substantially over recent years.

You will be expected to sell policies and develop and promote the Group Account, suggesting and evaluating opportunities for further expansion of the account

In addition, a dynamic personality with a drive to reach decision makers is essential.

To manage all New Business enquiries to best effect in line with company procedures

To maximise all opportunities to expand the Group account within the limits of the underwriting authority in conjunction with the supervising Line Manager

As required, to assume responsibility for the existing client activities including processing of renewals, mid-term adjustments, client queries and cancellations to best effect in accordance with company procedures

To ensure that checking of all documentation is completed on a daily basis in accordance with company procedures

To ensure credit control and debt collection is up to date for brokers and direct clients

To ensure that departmental banking is completed in a timely manner

To deal with technical queries both verbally and in writing

To ensure that all claims are referred to the selected insurer in accordance with the Company procedures

Work closely with underwriters, relationship managers, broker and clients to deliver a timely and compliant renewal process

To develop and maintain good working relationships with clients and insurers

To meet regularly with the reporting Account Manager to advise on current issues and to receive information and instructions

To manage and maintain designated key clients, franchise head office and association relationships with the large associations they work with not just Group but also to identify and service any additional insurance needs that may be appropriately supplied through the Company i.e. not just Group but also Motor, Fleet, etc.

To keep updated about our target markets. Be aware of any relevant new legislation and competitors' products and suggest changes/improvements as appropriate.

To identify when changes in policy wording are required to reflect current trends and legislation and to institute any consequent procedural changes as required

To identify potential gaps in the policy and suggest where appropriate improvements for future re-writes.

To advise the supervising Account Manager of any relevant policy information on the Company's website which requires further review on a regular basis

To provide input into the development of IT solutions

Develop knowledge and understanding of risk and compliance policies and procedures to ensure own work is undertaken to the standards of behaviour and in accordance with the Company policy

Ensure delivery of good customer outcomes

To be aware of and act within the limit of your individual underwriting authority

The successful applicant will posses/demonstrate the following

1 - 3 years' experience of selling and retention of SME Insurance products and services.

Demonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed determined sales and activity quotas.

Excellent client service skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills

Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook).

Strong negotiation and influencing skills

Forward planning (ability to anticipate future outcomes)

Ability to quickly identify potential problems and seek advice when required

Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines /Ability to handle multiple priorities

Ability to quickly grasp and interpret salient information

Ability to build and maintain close relationships with clients and associations

Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, or attainment of CII
