£33,000 - £35,000 (salary OTE of £55,000 with overtime and commission)
The successful Service/Install/System Sales person, will be a qualified Fire Security Engineer with a knowledge of current standards and legislation and able to demonstrate recent relevant experience. The individual should be looking to move slowly into a system Sales Executive role over a period of 12 – 18 months.
During this time the Fire Security Engineer will be expected to provide service, maintenance and installation during a mixture of hours involving evenings and weekends and also give advice and further train junior engineers. The hours worked during any given week may vary, but with a core of 40 hours per week. Where the core hours move to outside of the normal 0830 – 1700, the hourly rate will move to that of an overtime rate.
(E.g. Sample week - 40 hours week involves Tuesday to Friday (Apply online only), Saturday 1600 to 2359, Saturday would be paid 1.5 basic hourly rate)
With current technical knowledge of BS5839 and FIA Units 1-6 preferred, the Fire Security Engineer will assist where necessary in fault finding and problem solving for a wide range of fire alarm panels both addressable and conventional and be responsible for commissioning of fire systems. Additionally the successful candidate should have a good knowledge of CCTV, Access Control and Intruder systems.
This Fire Security Engineer role will require them to undertake field visits with individual engineers regularly to ensure work is being completed to a high standard and assist with installations as necessary. They will also work closely with the Sales and Operations Manager (SOM) team to ensure they are working areas effectively and completing daily appointments and targets.
The Fire Security Engineer role will also involve visiting potential new customers with the SOM and Managing Director to gain further knowledge on how to promote the companies services and also learn the process in raising quotations. They will also attend Project start meetings where needed.
Excellent client facing skills are a must.
They will hold a full UK driving licence, be self-motivated and have excellent attention to detail, time management and customer facing awareness.
