Control of costs against the original estimates and budgets.
Identification and processing early warning and compensation events.
Assessment of Subcontractor liabilities.
Review and processing of subcontractor applications for payment.
Maintaining of accurate cost and value records to present to management and to support applications to the client.
Maintaining an assessment of commercial risks.
Ability to operate the CPA System.
An understanding of the contract with the Client and its application.
Ability to conduct effective negotiations with both the Client and Subcontractors.
An understanding of the principles of measurement within the Highways Maintenance environment.
Demonstrate an understanding of Construction activities.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Ability to manage and prioritise duties.
An understanding measurement principles and able to apply these to valuations.
Ability to engage and communicate with client, stakeholders, subcontractors and third parties.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Good understanding of IT systems (Microsoft Office).
At least 2 years' experience in Construction performing commercial duties.
A basic knowledge of contract law, construction & commercial duties (measurement).
A basic understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
