Pre-Sales Engineer / Technical Account Manager (TAM)

The Opportunity:

This is an opportunity to join one of the UK’s most successful channel only Cisco & Microsoft Partners as they look to set-up and develop a team of Pre-Sales Engineers/Technical Account Managers. This is a brand new role within this partner, and whilst the core elements are defined, it is open to be molded by you in the future as they grow the team.

What you’ll be doing:

As a Pre-Sales Engineer/TAM, you’ll be the linchpin between the technical and commercial teams, guiding clients to scope, define and design new solutions. You’ll be the ‘go-to’ person for your clients technical queries, helping to drive innovation and lead technical conversations for specific pieces of project delivery whilst managing and nurturing key stakeholder relationships.

To give you a quick flavour of what you might find yourself doing in this role…

Running client meetings to steer service improvements and defining technical deliverables

Liaising with technical/sales teams to align technical resources and commercial alignment.

Translate business requirements into workable technical solution including HLD/LLD

Build out capabilities of the TAM team moving forward

What we need you to have:

Ideally we’re looking for somebody who has a technical background in Cisco Networking & Infrastructure Solutions (a real bonus is that’s with a Vendor or MSP) and has made the move into a Pre-Sales/TAM role OR is looking to make the move as the next step in their career.

Cisco CCNP / CCDP or equivalent knowledge and able to confidently demonstrate knowledge and experience in core Cisco routers, switch, firewalls and Meraki

Previous experience of supporting, deploying and designing Cisco Security

Able to translate customer business and technology requirements producing high quality network solutions through high and low levels designs

Remote analysis and support of customer environments inputting to changes utilising network management systems and remote access solutions

Analysis and solution specification culminating in writing and overseeing scope and design documents
