Salary £30-34K + usual Benefits.
The post holder will be responsible to assist the technical sales team members in preparing the technical bid information documents and cost estimates. You will work with the technical sales team to allow winning technical solution bids to be presented in an accurate & timely manner. Preparing and ensuring the cost information documents are also part of your work.
Knowledge of rotating equipment packaging & projects would be advantageous but not a prerequisite.
Skills & Experiences
Previous experience within technical sales & bidding.
Possess a high level of commercial awareness.
Ability to read Engineering Drawings and an appreciation or familiarity of Schematics.
Highly numerate with the ability to research, assemble manage and manipulate numerical information.
Base skills in Engineering/Manufacturing.
An understanding of the importance of data confidentiality. Being an enthusiastic individual who has excellent communication skills able to fit into a in a close knit team environment as part of an expanding Business. Strong technical mindset and able to read and interpret technical data and translate to others.
Problem solving ability with IT skills.
Customer focused & a team player.
Co-ordinate with third party vendors as required and obtains suitable technical and commercial quotations and evaluates them.
Support the technical bids team to develop strategic sourcing of third party equipment in order to optimize overall costing of the project.
Attend meetings on proposal or technical clarifications as required and provide full support to technical sales team on all relevant issues.
Ensures AVL's are kept current.
Follow up on bid submissions and complete feedback sheets as required.
Maintain accurate records of target accounts, opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts and correspondence in company databases.Communication
Communicate clearly and confidently with internal & external customers.
Liaise with stakeholders and support management decisions by providing appropriate cost information and data.
Have a collaborative approach to working with others.
Ensure that effective and regular communication takes place between peers and individuals.Credentials
Likely HNC/D or degree level qualification holder although previous experience in a similar will be taken into consideration, ideally in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
A good level of computer literacy and numeracy skills.
Experienced in the use of spreadsheets, estimating pricing models and cost management tools.
Knowledge and understanding of a variety of manufacturing processes and ability to evaluate and analyse associated costs.
To be organised, accurate and have an eye for detail.
Team working and communication skills
