Finance Assistant

Our client is looking for a detail-orientated, organised and enthusiastic individual to join their fast-paced accounts team. As Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for analysing and coding documents as well as processing and paying subcontractors in line with HMRC legislation and company procedures.

As Finance Assistant it will be your responsibility to provide administrative support to busy finance divisions, liaising with staff and external contacts and suppliers.

This is the perfect opportunity for a professional, proactive candidate who has an interest in an accounting or finance position and who is seeking a new challenge.

Finance Assistant Responsibilities

As Finance Assistant your main duties may include:

Processing and paying subcontractors

Assisting the Site Manager with projects

Analysing, coding and inputting timesheets

Processing month end journals

Supporting other departments with current projects and ventures

Finance Assistant Experience:

As Finance Assistant you must be comfortable liaising across all levels as well as working independently and to tight deadlines in a busy environment. In order to succeed as Finance Assistant you will have excellent time management skills and work well under pressure.

You will be IT literate and will have advanced Microsoft Excel skills. You will ideally be working towards your AAT and will have gained some relevant work experience in the industry but accounting experience is not essential.
