£40 - 45k Band plus Package
This business is a Global FMCG category market leader investing in its assets and people. The Uk business has multi-site manufacturing operations, employing several thousand people, delivering FMCG products for all the major retailers.
Your Purpose: You are a Continuous Improvement Engineer in the process area of the factory, influencing your area to maximise engineering process performance.
Duties and Responsibilities: -
40% Improvements….40% planned maintenance…20% reacting to the plant!
Identify and rectify failure trends on all assets within your cell
Apply continuous improvement tools and techniques to eliminate faults, reducing downtime, minimising spend, improving cycle times, maximising the performance and longevity of components.
Maximising applied knowledge from OEM's to develop your expertise in reliability maintenance to deliver a balanced scorecard
Conduct gap analysis and lead coaching and up-skilling managers/engineers/operators/apprentices.
Ownership of all engineering KPI's, including MTBF.MTTR.PPM.CCL and Work Order Completion, RCA review and completion. Appropriate visual management to be employedRequirements, Experience and Qualifications:
Experience of developing preventive and predictive maintenance and critical spares utilising FMECA/RCM tools.
You will be a Qualified/Competent time served engineer, ideally NVQ 3, Mechanical or Electrical C&G Mechanical/Electrical.
Experience in maintenance / engineering front line management in process industries such as food and drink, FMCG , paper, pharmaceutical and chemicals industries
Knowledge of process plant such as bulk storage, pumping, filtration, mixing, heating, chilling and cooling, pumps valves and piping systems preferred
Experience process vessels, tanks, agitators and gearboxes and steam generation
