About the role
Our growing digital team has experienced a growth in solutions demand and is recruiting for a .NET developer to work on a range of innovative client projects within the public and private sectors building and supporting Microsoft .NET based systems.
The role offers the opportunity to work in a multi-dimensional technical development role in a fast-paced consulting environment where you will collaborate with the wider technical team, digital communications consultants and creative designers.
The role of .NET developer also encompasses the requirement for experience in usability (UX), to include customer mapping, UX methodologies, UI design experience and multi-variant testing experience. The role will also support the development, maintenance of relational database systems (e.g. MS SQL Server), reporting environments, data transfers and interfaces (primarily web interfaces).
Additionally, the .NET developer will have the opportunity to work more widely by contributing to contract winning and delivery, as well as supporting the business systems of Ecorys UK, working under the Head of Web and Systems Development.
You will need to be degree educated (BSc or MSc in computing or related area) or have a similar level of experience.
To be successful in this role it is important that you have solid technical experience in the following software and platforms:
ASP.NET 3.5/4.0/4.5 (C#, Web Forms, MVC, LINQ)
Microsoft SQL Server (database creation and management, T-SQL, views, stored procedures)
Working knowledge of IIS 7.0/8.0, UI and UX tools such as Optimisely, Optimise, Visual Web Optimiser, Bootstrap and Responsive Web Design (RWD) / Mobile First Development
Significant experience in database development, design, testing and maintenance; including EER, Database Normalisation. Understanding of data referential integrity & security principles.
Knowledge of software testing standards, methods and conventions, and the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Experience of delivering multiple development projects in a fast-paced commercial environment.
