Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm and Friday 8am to 1.30pm

Maintenance Engineer required for a contract manufacturer of electronics, providing products into a variety of applications and industries including Aerospace. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a varied position with a great remit for personal development and technical advancement.

The successful Maintenance Engineer will have a passion for working on machinery. Those with maintenance experience of small component machinery will be at a significant advantage, as well as those from an electronics manufacturing background. Those who are Ex Forces or machinery maintenance engineers will still be considered. Have an understanding of manufacturing processes would be advantageous. Any engineering qualifications to support would be an advantage.

This is a great opportunity to become valid member of the team where you’ll become a technical expert on the machines whilst making improvements.

The Maintenance Engineer:

*Working across various electronics production lines, completing a split of 80% PPM and 20% Reactive.

*Planning and scheduling PPM work, and supervising contractors for any specialist repairs/installations.

*Repairs will involve diagnosing faults for replacing or fixing of small mechanical components/fixtures or wiring.

*Updating and writing SOP’s for maintenance procedures, and training others on basic maintenance of machinery to reduce reactive breakdowns.

*Making improvements to production layouts and machinery performance.

*Ordering of spare parts from suppliers.

*Documentation of completed work.

*Machine Programming (Training will be provided).

*Completing machinery training and further technical training both abroad in Europe and across the UK.

The Successful Maintenance Engineer:

*You will have a passion for working on machinery.

*Those with maintenance experience of small component machinery will be at a significant advantage, as well as those from an electronics manufacturing background.

*Those who are Ex Forces or machinery maintenance engineers will still be considered.

*Have an understanding of manufacturing processes would be advantageous.

*Any engineering qualifications to support would be an advantage
