Location: District of the New Forest (Lymington)
Salary: Band 7 - up to £35,156 per year
Hours: 37 per week
New Forest District Council is the largest housing provider in the District with over 5,000 Council dwellings made up of houses, flats, hostels and schemes providing extra care. Our Housing Maintenance Service provides planned, cyclical and reactive maintenance and repairs service to our residents through a large team of highly skilled trades people.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 exceptional and highly skilled Gas Engineers to join our team and as part of a friendly and professional in-house workforce you will be responsible for the delivery of cyclical gas servicing and responsive fault diagnosis and repairs and heating installations to our social housing stock.
The successful candidate will have completed an appropriate level of training and undertaken their CCN1 Domestic Core Gas Safety and be ACS registered along with a minimum of 5 years industry experience in domestic fault diagnosis and repairs and be highly skilled and experienced in all aspects of the gas trade. In addition the successful candidate will have undertaken and hold the following gas appliance assessments:
Essential: CENWAT1 Central Heating Boilers, CKR1 Cookers, HTR1 Fires, MET1 Domestic Gas Meters and CPA1 Combustion Performance Analysers.
Registration of the Construction Skills Certificate Scheme or similar and Working at Height experience would be advantages but not essential.
The ability to work unsupervised and in accordance with strict Health & Safety guidelines is also essential.
