SQL Support Analyst - Chester - £35,000 to £40,000

VIQU has recently partnered with one of the global leader in the unique world of Home Brewing. This company is an industry leader bringing new and exciting products to the home beverage makers, to supply hobbyists and homebrew retailers, they achieve this by working with retailers and suppliers, to bring the best product expertise and innovations to the market. This company is based in New Zealand, however they have offices in Australia and the UK.

We are currently recruiting for an SQL Support Analyst, who would be the first point of contact for IT related issues and will be responsible for reporting and diagnosing issues with the company's computer systems and responsible for the on and off boarding of the companies staff.

In addition to this, you would be responsible for the companies ERP system. A car and a driving license will likely be a requirement based on the need to commute between the clients two locations in Chester.

About the SQL Support Analyst:

  • Based near Chester
  • Hybrid role, 3 days a week on site, 2 day from home
  • Offering between £35,000 to £40,000 per annum
  • Working hours are 8am to 5pm
  • Working for the distribution of alcohol

Responsibility of the SQL Support Analyst role:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to the companies staff
  • Support and maintain the companies ERP system (F&O, Tropos and Epicor)
  • Analyse the companies system requirements and configure, test and implement improvements and solution
  • Work alongside the companies 3rd party MSP to ensure that issues are resolved with the objective of improving internal user satisfaction
  • Work with department leads to optimize business support activities
  • Preform basic network troubleshooting and work with local venders to deliver consistent and cost effective services

Requirements of the SQL Support Analyst:

  • Experience with business application support, a good understanding of ERP systems
  • Experience reporting with PowerBi, SQL and Excel
  • Good experience with programming languages, preferably C#
  • Comprehensive IT expertise encompassing LAN/WAN networking, general networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and virtualisation technologies (Microsoft Hyper-V or VMware)
  • In-depth knowledge of core IT infrastructure components including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and a strong understanding of PC/laptop hardware.
  • Familiarity with MS SQL server and SSRS
  • Understanding of desktop/laptop support
  • Strong knowledge of O365 and the MS Suite, with regards to Back End administration
