We are hiring for Chief Information Security Officer for our client's project based at London/Milton Keynes/East Kilbride, UK ( 2-3 days per week onsite )

Job Description:

• Develop and embed cyber security in the organisation through structured and effective engagement and communication with senior stakeholders across the business and with programme and project teams; Implement enterprise strategy, approach and processes to reduce information security risks and enable services to be delivered effectively.
• Establish, maintain and implement appropriate strategy, standards, controls and policies to protect the department's information assets and technologies and drive compliance with policy, standards, regulatory requirements and legislation.
• Be the department's advisor for cyber risk within its own business operations and be responsible for bringing together the department's approach to its own cyber and information security responsible for the delivery of programmatic cyber change and for cyber security operations in the department; Shape the strategy and the business case and be accountable for the execution and delivery of workstreams, including the delivery of those capabilities.

Typical Skills:

• Strong cyber leadership credentials including experience of driving the cyber security agenda in a complex matrixed organisation.
• Proven ability to shape and then successfully execute an enterprise-level cyber security strategy in both technical, policy and process arenas.
• Ability to provide clear and concise advice to senior management regarding cyber security.
• Excellent stakeholder influencing skills at a senior level, with a proven ability to engage support across the organisation for the cyber agenda.
• Leadership style of leading from the front, ensuring visibility, effectively engaging and communicating to staff and delivery partners regarding the criticality of cyber security and risk management.
• Experience of executing cyber security approaches which conform to standard patterns of good practice.
• An expert in IT Risk Management with practical experience of delivering risk and information system control management.
