Job Title: Customer Support Engineer

Location: Belfast, Hybrid (2-3 days Onsite)

Rate: salary equivalent of £32k-£38k

Contract Length: 18 months (PAYE)

Start Date: ASAP

The Role

As a Support Engineer, you will provide distinctive value by collectively addressing customer issues in a responsive manner, offering proactive support guidance, contributing to product improvements, and crafting self-help resources to reach a wider customer base.

Your other daily duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Be responsible for ensuring a seamless customer support journey.
  • Resolve technical issues, taking ownership through collaboration, troubleshooting, and transparent communication within and between teams, identifying cases that may need escalation.
  • Generate and manage incident management requests for product/engineering teams.
  • Contribute to initiatives that reduce cases, automate processes, and enhance digital self-help resources to elevate the experience for customers and engineers.
  • Conduct training sessions, share knowledge, offer technical guidance, and mentor others.
  • Foster technical collaboration beyond CE&S, engaging with Product Engineering teams, Services, Support, and various Regions.
  • Lead or engage in constructing communities among peer delivery roles, potentially focusing on specific workloads or specialities.

About You

  • Proficiency in English with an advantage in additional European languages.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge in SharePoint or Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience in providing support and investigating complex Microsoft 365 issues related to performance, administration, site configuration, and customisation.
  • General comprehension of Microsoft 365 administration principles.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft security compliance and identity fundamentals.
  • An understanding of general networking concepts including DNS, TCP/IP, and Sub-netting.
  • Experience with web standards and technologies such as HTTP, JavaScript, CSS, and XML

Desirables

  • MCSE/MCSD certifications
  • Experience handling customer technical issues
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguous situations and work independently.
  • Knowledge of Exchange, Active Directory, and experience with ADFS.
  • Understanding of Voice communications.
  • Familiarity with Skype for Business hybrid deployments.
