On behalf of our client, an international financial service provider located in Luxembourg, we are looking for an external resource with skills and abilities as stated below:

Senior Software Engineer (m/f/x) financial institution in Luxembourg -

The role:
The Senior Software Engineer has in-depth expert knowledge in systems development, sets the standards for programming tools and techniques and is responsible for the entire software development process.

He/she has the skills to develop large and/or complex programs, incl. design, coding and testing. As part of test responsibilities, the Senior Software Engineer defines and creates test cases, coordinate test activities and reports on progress.

Your tasks:

• Installation of application software in test environment
• Monitor applications and automate deployment
• Support development and testers in issues investigation
• Log and follow-up technical issues and liaise with Development and Infrastructure Departments
• Provide clear, regular and consistent reporting to other members of the team
• Identify process improvements, tasks automation, testing tools development

Mandatory skills and experience:

• University degree, BAC+2/3 in an IT related discipline or equivalent through relevant work experience
• Experience in Linux environments is required
• Good knowledge of Oracle SQL and/or MySQL, Shell Scripting
• Good knowledge about terraform required
• Good knowledge of one or more of the following tools is a plus: GitHub, Jenkins, Jira, docker, Kubernetes, Ansible
• Good knowledge of Windows operating system (start/stop/monitor of services, powershell, administration)
• Experience with cloud technology and Infrastructure: Ms Azure and GCP

• Use initiative to resolve problems, willingness to learn.
• Solution oriented, able to set priorities and deliver under periods of higher stress.

• Location: Luxembourg (40% remote work possible)
