Payroll Support Team Leader

We have a great opportunity for an experienced individual to work as a Payroll Support Team Leader in Bristol on a full-time, permanent basis. Our client is a market-leading organisation who offers the most advanced, integrated and insightful software tools and service within the technology and consultancy sector.

As a Payroll Support Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing a team of payroll support analysts to ensure they are working to and achieving set SLA’s as well as dealing with customer escalations when needed.

Responsibilities:

* Leading and supporting payroll support analysts and specialists

* Ensuring successful onboarding of new team members

* Coaching, motivating, and mentoring employees, conducting appraisals, performances reviews (1-1s) and ensuring quarterly objectives are set and delivered on

* Conducting transactional monitoring and audits of direct reports ensuring that feedback is provided, and action/support plans created

* Acting as an escalation point for your team, internal and external customers

* Overseeing planning of work and the management of incidents, driving the standards of customer service to the highest levels within the department

* Ensuring customer and account satisfaction by overseeing all activities involved in providing an efficient, secure and reliable service

* Monitoring incidents progressed identifying customer-specific or on-going issues including increased activity and fault patterns. Working on potential mitigating plans with Principal Support Consultants.

* Working to and achieve department Service Level Targets including resolution and initial response times are achieved

* Monitoring and responding to the overall performance of the department and make recommendations for improvements to support a more efficient working practice

Requirements:

* Previous Team Leading/Management experience

* Customer service or complaint management experience

* Experience working in, supporting or managing payrolls

* Knowledge of statistics applied to a service desk

* Understanding principles of supervision, training and performance evaluation

* Project planning experience
