Aspire Cambridge are recruiting for a Projects Leader on behalf of our client based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.

The Projects Leader is responsible for coordinating the planning, execution and delivery of new SKUs and for managing product change and improvement projects within the current product portfolio to achieve product strategy goals.

This project management role manages multiple (approximately 20-40) routine projects over 3 to 6 months' time horizons leveraging and coordinating internal and external resources to ensure on time and in budget project completion while navigating changing business priorities. This role is accountable for delivering projects from intake, through initial costing, set up, sign off/approvals, manufacture, delivery to local warehouse or customer and transition to the fulfilment team.


Reviews new item requests taking into consideration all needed details including, not limited to, development needs, cost, product lead-times, feasibility, supplies, etc.

Coordinates with others in the design and implementation of projects within defined project scope.

Responsible for coordination of all new products and product changes accurately and on time.

Coordinates detailed total supply chain integration efforts (sourcing, operations, quality, materials, R&D, etc.) across internal and external resources resulting in first production runs.

Responsible for ensuring completion of relevant authorisation and support documentation.

Responsible for ensuring project successfully transitioned to the Replenishment Team and issues are resolved. Project follow up to resolve issues, as needed.

Skills and Experience:

Independently competent in the use of project management tools such as Workfront or Microsoft Project.

Able to effectively and independently manage up to 20-40 development projects with competing resources and priorities in a commercial environment and product-based industry.

Ability to transcend functional boundaries; ensures alignment and continual assessment and adjustment of program outcomes in line with strategic objectives.

Be action orientated and pro-active with a 'do it now' approach.

Self-motivated - work for extended periods without direct supervision and 'in the field' and a desire to habitually brings activities to conclusion.

Be prepared to question & understand both the 'why' in an activity as well as the 'what'.

Degree level qualification.

Full & valid EU driving license - to get themselves unaided to 3rd party premises.

3 years proven experience as projects manager, ideally with external supplier coordination.

Experience of managing multiple projects of conflicting deadlines.

Previous experience of using a project management software with Gantt Charts (e.g. Microsoft Project, Workfront, etc.).

Experienced in managing multiple stakeholders with effective communication at various levels (sales, marketing, directors).

Hours: Mon to Fri, Full Time

Salary: £32,000 to £38,000
