This role is central to maintaining the sales and purchase ledgers, tracking and reporting on financial performance of our numerous projects, and preparing monthly management accounts.
Salary negotiable according to qualifications/skills and knowledge - will range from £35k to £40K depending on suitability level for full time
5 day week Monday to Friday (35 to 40 hours) possibly can consider 4 days
You will need to be appropriately qualified and have a good knowledge and understanding of SAGE 50 Accounts, with a proven track record in preparing timely and accurate management accounts.
General Duties :-
Maintain sales and purchase ledgers;
Collate incoming purchase invoices, stamp and distribute to authorised staff to sign off. Investigate coding queries;
Prepare and process supplier payment runs;
File purchase invoices once they have been processed; Raise sales invoices to customers;
Carry out bank reconciliations;
Undertake credit control, including making phone calls to chase outstanding payments;
Make online purchases for the Project Managers, and assist with other purchasing when time permits; Post Project Managers and Designers time to Sage from timesheets;
Process staff expenses claims;
Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts; Update order-take and sales pipeline spreadsheets;
Prepare various SAGE reports for the Senior Management Team; Fill out Customer/Supplier forms as required;
Compile and maintain a database of sub-contractors, tradesmen and suppliers;
Account for and administer Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) and liaise with sub-contractors as required.
Working with the business Manager to monitor company performance and identify areas of improvement
