AWS workspaces Engineer - 6 month Contract Outside IR35 - Fully remote - Up to £550 per day

We are looking for a skilled AWS Workspaces Engineer for a central government role, Security Clearance (SC) is a MUST HAVE. The primary focus will be to create or enhance a pipeline for building and patching images and deploying Windows OS on AWS Workspaces.

Requirements:

• Experience in automating image creation and patching for AWS Workspaces.
• Familiarity with central government security clearance processes.
• Strong skills in refining HLDs and requirements.
• Installation and patching experience with developer tools and essential software.
• Knowledge of AWS tools (SSM, CLI) and MS tools (Visual C++, Studio).

Responsibilities:

• Develop a new or updated pipeline for building and patching AWS Workspaces images.
• Deploy Windows OS on AWS Workspaces, automating manual processes.
• Assist in the discovery, design, and governance phases, with a special emphasis on security sign-off required for central government standards.
• Refine High-Level Designs (HLD) and requirements, and create/update the pipeline for building AWS Workspaces.
• Install and patch 20-30 applications, including developer tools from IBM suite (BPM, MQ, WebSphere), MS Office Pro Plus 2019, AWS tools (SSM, CLI), and MS tools (Visual C++, Studio).
