Job Title: Business Development Manager
The Business: We are a diversified mechanical engineering and contracting business providing engineering design, high quality steel fabrication, and full project delivery services across a wide range of sectors, including:
o Biomass & Power Generation
o Port & Infrastructure
o Manufacturing & Process industries
o Food & Beverage

We have been in business for 45 years and has been operating on Teesside for the past 8 years successfully delivering several major mechanical engineering projects. We plan to build on that success in the North East of England by strengthening the team based out of our Middlesbrough office.
Candidates for the Business Development Manager role MUST HAVE an established background and experience in Engineering and Contracting industries in North East of England and possess an existing and well-established network of industry contacts on Teesside.

Requirements:
* A strong background and experience in Engineering and Contracting industries on Teesside and the North East of England.
* Possess an existing and well-established network of relevant industry contacts on Teesside.
* Ability to gain access to major engineering projects in the region and secure an opportunity to submit a bid for relevant mechanical scope.
* A professional manner with excellent communication skills and ability to fulfil a Business Development role.

Role Profile:
* Identify and target potential projects and clients in the engineering sector.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
* Collaborate with inhouse technical, engineering and estimating teams to ensure accurate and timely submission of bids.
* Identify new business opportunities.
* Attend industry conferences and seminars.
