Technical Systems Manager

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an IT Systems & Infrastructure Manager to join our customer based in London. This is a technical, hands-on role, but with the unique position to be directly responsible for the Delivery of a technology infrastructure and IT service that runs reliably and efficiently with zero down time'.

Purpose of the role

  • Day to day management of the IT function.
  • To contribute to the design and delivery of the IT strategy.
  • Delivery of IT projects in line with agreed timescales and scope in support of the priorities and objectives.
  • To work as part of a team to deliver complex solutions from a hands-on capacity.
  • Advising and supporting the development and documentation of long-term IT strategic plans that are aligned with the firm's priorities and objectives.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of a high-quality IT support desk/ticket queue function (managed by IT Systems Admin on a day-to-day basis) - providing reports and analysis to the management team on a regular basis.
  • Managing and maintaining the firms' network infrastructure, including Servers and Switches.
  • Installing and configuring software/hardware including network Servers and technology tools.
  • AD and Win Server estate life cycle management, delegating tasks to members of the IT team, where appropriate
  • Lead the maintenance of the Active Directory and Windows Server infrastructure, service operations and support.
  • Troubleshooting Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, MFA and Group Policy issues.
  • Implement and manage security measures to protect systems and data, including backups and DR procedures.
  • Documenting all system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and maintain an up-to-date IT infrastructure inventory.
  • Experience with networks (LAN, WAN, Wireless Technology).
  • Experience with M365 (Azure AD, Office 365, Teams, SIP Telephony on MS Teams), Exchange Online, SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate.
  • Experience in Public Cloud (AWS, Azure).
  • Experience with MS SQL Server, SQL Scripts, VM Ware, RDS, Firewalls.
