The Tech Lead will cultivate and maintain a variety of client, server and web-based applications. As an integral member of the team, they must be experienced, goal-orientated, and a self-motivated team player with the ability to work well in a small group. The Tech Lead will oversee the developers in their project groups, providing details and hands-on guidance.

Responsibilities:

Ability to lead products involving diverse technologies and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed micro-services and full-stack systems to create highly secure and scalable solutions;

Code/evaluate code;

Collaborate with product owners and deliver robust cloud-based solutions for the insurance community.

Work on a variety of projects (multi-task);

Ability to quickly learn and work on new technologies and implement POC;

Education & Essential Skills

BS in Computer Science of Information Systems;

Strong Full-Stack Lead;

Java/J2EE/Design Patterns;

Single Page App;

Cloud (AWS/Azure a plus) - proficient in design/deploying application in Cloud;

Knowledge of API;

Working with Agile SDLC;

Knowledge of static code analysis tools (CheckStyle/PMD/Sonarcube) and Testing framework Junit;

Basic understanding of BigData technologies like Hadoop HDFS, MapReduce, PIG, Hive etc.

Strong understanding of Object Oriented Design and programming principles;

QA and Testing Tools and Methodologies;

Integration - take disparate applications, data sources and get them to work together;

Experience

7+ years of experience using Java

2+ years of experience with AWS

3+ years SQL and Non-SQL database technologies

4+ years of experience in open source frameworks

4+ years of experience in Agile practices

2+ years of experience designing highly scalable and secure API's in cloud

1+ years of people management experience

Experience working with micro services based architecture

Experience with CI/CD pipelines

Experience with AWS server less technologies

Experience with Spring boot

Experience with leading and mentoring other team members including code-reviews

Experience with Cloud design patterns.
