Control Systems Engineer

It is essential you are capable of creating PLC software from concept to include all relevant documentation - i.e. FDS – and follow through with site commissioning.
Establish and maintain good communications with others at all times
Preparation of complete designs for complex low-level control systems, including sketches, reports and other required documentation in accordance with company procedures and project requirements
Preparation of functional design specifications for complex low-level control systems
Design, development test, and onsite commissioning of PLC software
Analysis and solution of engineering problems of varying complexity which arise in design, build, test, installation and commissioning.
The successful Control Engineer will ideally be Degree qualified. We are also seeking candidates with materials handling/baggage handling or conveyor experience ideally, however other similar automated machinery experience is considered. Ideally you will be skilled with Siemens PLC’s, however, other mainstream systems i.e. Rockwell will also be considered.
Site work will be involved working within the UK. This will be 25-35% project dependent. Please note – the majority of site work is carried out at night so you must be prepared to work night shifts when commissioning.
This role is based in the East Midlands and is commutable from Nuneaton, Rugby, Leicester, Coventry, Northampton, Corby and Kettering.
Salary is commensurate with experience but can be expected to be c£38-50k with 6% pension and 25 days holiday.
