Commissioning newly installed systems on customer sites worldwide and provide support for existing installations
Be able to troubleshoot any issues that may occure with the new/existing lines or equipment
Implement and troubleshoot any PLC/SCADA software issues (mainly Allen Bradey, Siemens or Wonderware)
Keep customers and project engineers updated
Work under pressure, whilst ensuring that deadlines are met
Work with in-house Project Engineers to complete the Factory Acceptance Tests
Adhere to all company and health and safety polices and regulations
Contribute to the development of new systems through the design and manufacture stages
The ideal candidate will have:
Excellent problem solving skills
Have good interpersonal and communication skills
Represent the company at customer sites and be willing to build good customer service skills
Be able to carry out practical skills, i.e. machine adjustments
Have a solid understanding and experience of electro-mechanical engineering skills
Possess excellent IT skills and can use Microsoft Office Packages
Have a logical approach to problem solving
Be keen and willing to learn automation control software
Prepared to travel extensively and be away from home for up to 2 weeks at a time, but some flexibility will be required
Salary is dependent upon skills and experience and the successful candidate will spend a considerable amount of time training and shadowing colleagues.
Ideal locations will include: St Neots, Bedford, Milton Keynes or Hitchin.
