My client, a leading Travel business requires a highly experienced and polished SAP S/4 Hana Central Finance & Blackline Project Manager for a finance transformation project to move the client onto SAP S/4 HANA.

About the role:

The primary purpose of the SAP S/4 Central Finance and Blackline Project Management role is to take ownership of the successful delivery and management of the finance transformation project and move to SAP S/4 HANA. The project is multi-phased, with phase 1 involving the delivery of SAP S/4 Digital Core (SAP Central finance, Cash management, Treasury management, Multibank Connectivity and SAP e-Tax: Document Reporting and Compliance) along with Blackline fast close.

Future phases will involve the full transition to SAP S/4 HANA, the decommissioning of ECC and our Middle Office systems and migration of integrations to our Front Office booking system.

Responsibilities of the SAP S/4 Digital Core within the transformation programme will include:

• Developing detailed project plans, outlining phases, tasks, dependencies, timelines, and deliverables specific to the finance transformation.
• Collaborating with cross functional teams, including IT, business functions, external partners, to align activities and address any potential issues.
• Identifying and mitigating potential risks that could impact the project, such as data migration issues, system integration and user training.
• Ensuring a smooth and accurate transfer of data from old systems to the new target system.
• Overseeing testing, validation, and dry runs to identify and address issues before cutover.
• Serving as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications and maintaining clear and open communication channels to keep stakeholders informed about progress, changes, and any unexpected issues.
• Monitoring project expenditures, ensuring that the project remains within budget, and highlighting potential overruns and propose corrective actions.

Requirements:

• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to create and manage detailed project plans.
• Proven track record of 3 or more successful S/4 Hana implementations as the lead PM on the project, including at least one that used SAP Central Finance as a deployment method.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4 Activate methodology.
• Have worked and managed large projects of 20+ consultants and third parties.
• Technical and functional knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA, Central Finance and Blackline of benefit.
• Project Management Certification eg Prince 2, Project Management (PMP) is desirable.
• Proven experience in SAP cutover management across global complex SAP implementation projects.
• Strong competency in MS Office tools required.
• Experience of SAP implementations within the Travel/FMCG or Fast paced Tech platform world would be advantageous.
