Role Overview

This team are looking for a Data Governance Analyst, they assist offshore energy projects and have been early adopters of technology in their field. They have offices in Aberdeen and London - you have the option to join either one of these offices on a hybrid basis.

They're ideally looking for someone who has in depth knowledge of business systems and operating models. You'll help influence the company's overall business strategy, as a result, you'll be working with a wide network of people including senior management, development teams as well as external stakeholders. This will ultimately help the team complete their on-going projects which focus on the likes of hydrogen and decarbonisation.

Responsibilities

As mentioned above the role often works with stakeholders both internal and external stakeholders so it will be required for you to manage these relationships.

The internal relations are particularly important, there is a lot of collaboration within the role so there is a lot of potential to learn from other people! You will be working in an agile/waterfall environment to assist with development of data pipelines, visualising data, and issue tracking.

As for external stakeholders, you will be working with the company's global network with the likes of Data Stewards and Owners. You will be using your expertise in areas such as data governance products, standards, legislation, and best practice to offer guidance and solutions.

Essential Skills

* Strong experience of data governance frameworks, policy, and operating models

* Strong experience of data systems, data quality and root cause analysis.

Desirable Skills

* Foundations in automation and development/building of data pipelines

* Prior use of enterprise applications

* Experience of working in a project or engineering company is a bonus

* An understanding of data systems architecture
