We are looking for a SQL Database Specialist to work within the defence sector.

Location: Hybrid working- Reading

About the role: You will be responsible for providing database and application support for SQL Server databases, applications and tools.

Essential Skills:

The ideal candidates will hold active DV clearance and have a proven SQL Database Specialist background, with the following skills/experience:

• Extensive knowledge of current SQL Server releases who can provide skills transfer/best practice to the team.
• Experience of maintaining installations, upgrades and maintenance of the database server, applications and tools.
• Experience of developing and maintaining database/application configurations and standards, ensuring that all standards are applied.
• Knowledge of providing support to project delivery managers to upgrade, develop and implement new systems, applications and services appropriate to the role and to agreed timescales.
• Experience of the implementation of code releases and configuration changes throughout the system life cycle.
