This is a new and exciting role which will lead a release train and feature teams who are responsible for the overall execution and build of complex technical solutions within the Payments value stream to the high standards set by our guilds. You'll develop, and refine technical solutions, end to end from channels to the gateway, using modern engineering practice TDD, DevSecOps, generative AI, and AWS development. You'll also be responsible for ensuring technologies within this feature teams stream run efficiently and remain stable to meet customer needs.

What you'll bring

• Proven leadership, coaching and mentoring experience with the ability to manage and motivate a successful team.
• Proven experience in leading software engineering teams following TDD, DevOps and AWS development.
• Advanced knowledge of Java17, KAFKA, Springboot, DDD Microservices Gateway, Kubernetes & Backstage.
• Proven experience of working in scaled agile settings and leading feature teams.
• Dedication to tech innovation and continuous progression.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in a Science or Engineering, related field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience or knowledge of delivering Faster payments, NPA, SepaInst, ISO20022 and similar secure API projects.
• Knowledge of mobile development IOS or Android.
