Data Engineer - Permanent position (Hybrid- Central Birmingham)

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer to support the next exciting phase of planned growth for their applications development team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding and optimising data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimising data flow and collection for cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline builder with a deep understanding of databases who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up.

Requirement

Experience as a Data Engineer, preferably using Databricks.

In-depth understanding of relational database systems.

Hands-on experience with data modelling and design for SQL systems.

Proficient in Python and preferably knowledge of Oracle PLSQL.

Implementing data flows to link BI (business intelligence) systems

Databricks

Writing ETL scripts

Designing SQL systems

Automated testing is done in Python- a basic understanding would be fine

Data Engineering and/or Azure cloud certifications would be advantageous.
